Christmas parties, gift chasing, compulsive shoppers’ paradise because now they have an excuse for spending, spending, spending. Everyone is coming and going, taking care of whatever issues they have so that the holiday season would be of indecent joy, relaxation, cheery, merry and all that.
But to me it looks like time has stopped at some point. And now it is on fast forward. I see everyone just dashing by, running around crazy, speedy, laughing, talking, with a Christmas tree and what not. I don’t understand it. It’s like a gray vortex, endlessly spinning and making me dizzy.
All the songs, carols, smiles and laughter just make me wonder why this is happening and what’s the logical reason for it. It’s like people are high all the time 
I know I sound like the Grinch, but really now, what’s all the fuss about?! We are talking about three days, a week tops, of slacking around, eating, drinking and visiting people we did not bother to visit for a whole year…
Its a time to gather around the fire and rejoice the beauty that is humanity, family and loved ones.

The Grinch part made me laugh. I also find christmas annoying at some point. And everyone should celebrate it on their own way even if its a time full of relaxation. I was looking at some christmas products the other day and was feeling tempted with all the happy music to buy a gold peek with angels on it but then I realised halfway of almost buying it….. its a peek…. its nothing but a peek… why on earth would I spent 5 euro’s on a plastic peek that nobody notices on the tree anyway… and they sure dont notice the 5 euro tag on that plastic stuff.
BUT! I do love other sides of christmas. I like diana kralls christmas album. Its different from all the other church children singing assif they were all born innocent and happy joy joy. valalalala etc.
I do enjoy the extra discounts on electronic products and wrapping them up so I can rip it all off again for the fun of it. Or to have a tree in your house… ( whoever thought of that deserves a medal ) We get extra oxygen in our living room. And my cat loves it. Yet it becomes scary with the lights out and seeing two green glow in the dark eyes glare at me from between the sticks.
I do enjoy a good pair of classic movies. I love getting gifts and giving gifts and seeing someone feel appriciated eventhough I give people random gifts occasionally. Though the lousiest gift I ever got was a pair of socks… from my aunty ( I thought how cheap is that ) Next year I gave her a toilet seat ( I am not kidding ) made a nice wrap around it though.
Christmas can be a very nice time with relaxation and for a change spoil yourself on good food gifts and think about some good causes you can do. Atleast thats how I see it.. So i can sent that discounted flatscreen and extra farrari to africa and give the left over socks to people like my aunty. It does make me feel good and some families only see eachother during christmas.
I also think the cities look pretty with lights and well new years eve is really the moment I enjoy most due to the fireworks I can set off and dance my way into another year.
And the next day wake up and set up new goals. that some of us will ….. sadly never achieve lol.
So yes christmas is a time where everyone kind of relaxes, but if people do decide to go shopping i would like them to be aware that if they do spend money on SOMETHING buy something that will actually make someone happy with something that they need… and trust me I had enough socks…

Sometimes I like Mariah Carey’s xMass songs and carols.
Extra discounts, not so much, since I usually buy what I need and this need pops up in the worst possible time. I like ripping the paper off too, but I’ll have to fight with my kitties for it.
The tree – I would prefer it uncut, growing inside my very home. That way, Leyla (lil devil / f*****, break-it-all-cat) will not destroy 25% of the house cause she wrestled the tree.
